NEXT DAY AIR
Below is a full break down on our plan of attack to cover the Detroit market. We’ve created a well rounded promotion to cater to all ages in the urban community, as well as the suburbs.
WEEK 1
This week we covered a few Final Four parties, but it wasn’t the audience we were looking for to promote this project to. We also circulated through the downtown clubs; tons of people were out hanging downtown. We also covered the Fast & Furious movie goers over the weekend as well.
WEEK 2
We did a lot of concert coverage this week. Soul Nite, Gucci Mane concert & Lil Wayne after parties were the main concentration for the week, along side of barber shops & hair salons on Detroit’s west Side.
WEEK 3
The week we are focusing on the weekly parties, hair salons, barber shops, liquor stores and clothing stores on the east and west sides of Detroit.
WEEK 4
Our focus during the final week of the promotion will be malls, major events, Radio One event coverage and movie theatres.
Places tools have been utilized @:
The Sting, All-stars, St. Andrews, Envy, Plan B, Elysium, Mitch’s, Cuzin’s, Cosmo’s, The Zoo Bar
Gucci Mane Concert (The Fillmore), Soul Nite (Max Fisher Bldg) and Evolution.
We’ve covered over 60 hair salons and barber shop. We have not compiled the list of locations, but we will have them by the end of the week.
REPORT
Thus far this project is working out extremely well. With all of the premium promotional tools that we have, getting coverage into locations has become a cake walk. No one tool has over shadowed any of the other tools, but certain tools work better than other ones based upon the locations. Obviously, the capes work better in the salons & shops, but the key chains work better in smaller, more intimate spots, such as clothing stores, malls, gas stations and liquor stores. The t-shirts are more successful in the clubs because it allows us to put up posters in clubs that usual wouldn’t let us post bills in the building and we can get people to wear them around the club to promote within the club.
The promotion is coming out great in Detroit, the awareness is growing @ a rapid pace, and by the end of week three we should be in a great position to be successful on opening weekend.
FYI I saw someone with the t shirt on @ the Pistons vs Chicago game. How great is that?!
